It’s been a busy week for Radial-G as we’re working towards opening the closed alpha test for multiplayer to those who have responded to our call to arms.

In the meantime, harking back to July when we attended “VR in a Bar” at Loading Bar in Dalston, London, we were featured in the Welsh TV channel S4C show “Y Ile” who were there filming. Then over the weekend we discovered that GamesTM had run an article on Oculus Rift gaming and listed Radial-G as one of the Top 5 Best VR Experiences! Check it out below and be sure to pick up a copy to preserve our first-printed-press milestone!

We have released the single player demo of Radial-G : Racing Revolved as part of our Kickstarter and Steam Greenlight campaigns.

The demo includes:

  • Oculus Rift DK1 & DK2 support  (DK2 issues known – see here for workarounds until SDK 0.4 v1.3 demo available)
  • “2D NOculus” standard monitor support
  • Xbox 360 wired controller support with rumble
  • Global Leaderboard 
  • User Profiles
  • Windows & Mac support

NB. v1.2 uses Oculus VR SDK 0.3 so needs a workaround to get it working with Oculus Rift DK2 (until we update and release v1.3 of the single player demo compiled with Oculus VR SDK 0.4)

Today Radial-G : Racing Revolved has been submitted to the Steam Greenlight progamme in advance of the Kickstarter campaign launch next week.

Vote for Radial-G now to be accepted into Steam Greenlight so we get selected next time for release on Steam!

Play Radial-G at Develop in Brighton conference

Radial-G : Racing Revolved will be appearing at the Develop in Brighton conference event in July!

From Tuesday 8th July until Thursday 10th July, Radial-G will be present in the Indie Demo Area of the exhibition hall as one of twelve indie games to be showcased.

We’ll have Oculus Rifts there too so you can get to play the game the way it is meant to be played!

Come along and meet the developers of Radial-G who will be demonstrating the game, fielding questions about the development and the Kickstarter campaign

Play Radial-G at Games Britannia this weekend

This weekend (June 28th & 29th 2014) you can play Radial-G : Racing Revolved at the Games Britannia event in Sheffield, UK.

The game will be appearing on the ten24 booth throughout the weekend.

ten24 are a 3D development company specialising in modelling, animation and VR. They will be showcasing some of their latest work on their booth as well as hosting the game for us.

Here’s our chance to play the game before the public release of the free single player demo next week!

Hello everyone,

Welcome to the shiny, new Radial-G : Racing Revolved website!

We’re very excited to be able to start sharing our development progress with you as we move forward towards the release of the single player demo and the Kickstarter campaign next week on Thursday July 3rd.

In the meantime, feel free to have a nose around and find your way about. We’ll be adding more content constantly throughout the development so always a reason to return.
